Menopausal Hormone Therapy (MHT), particularly bio-identical formulations, is a method of using hormone prescriptions that are analogous to those the human body produces. This can be used to address the symptoms of menopause or perimenopause, and also are used for prevention of age-related health concerns associated with the lack of hormones post-menopause. The hormone combination is tailored to the individual’s needs, using both conventional pharmaceutical medications and compounded medications and hormone pellets (see below). Hormone therapy is adjusted to the unique needs and health situation of the individual, including estrogen, progesterone and testosterone. For those who are not candidates for hormone therapy (this should be discussed with your doctor, as many people actually are candidates), there are herbal options that can aid in symptom management. Dr. Ward-Selinger has extensive training in managing hormone replacement. Dr. Ward-Selinger is a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner, meaning she has studied their rigorous curriculum and passed their exam. Between this and her decade+ experience with naturopathic medicine, she brings the best of both worlds to menopause care.

Naturopathic medicine represents the original model of functional medicine—an approach grounded in treating the whole person, identifying root causes of illness, and supporting the body’s innate ability to heal. For the past century, naturopathic physicians have been practicing individualized medicine that emphasizes prevention, lifestyle, nutrition, and the interconnection of body, mind, and environment. Drawing from both modern biomedical science and traditional healing wisdom, naturopathic medicine provides a comprehensive framework for restoring balance and optimizing health. Treatments may include pharmaceuticals, herbal medicine, nutrition, and lifestyle interventions—selecting the safest and most effective options to support each patient’s individual needs.

Pricing
Please see the online schedule for visit pricing, prices are listed after the name of the visit type. You will see two follow up visit options, one of which is shorter and less expensive for those who have a succinct medical need such as a medication refill or an acute infection. If your needs exceed this visit you will be asked to schedule another appointment. Most patients will require the longer follow up visit. There are options for in person or video appointments. For potential clients outside of Oregon video appointments are available, but please note that the scope of care is different out of state. Please inquire by phone.

New Patients
All new patients should first schedule a New Patient Visit (in person or video), regardless of the reason for your visit. For example, if you would like to pursue pellet insertion, a new patient visit should be scheduled first. This ensures that your provider has your full medical history and can determine the best treatment plan moving forward. Feel free to schedule the free 10 minute phone call if you have questions about the services offered.

Time Sensitive Visits
If you do not see an opening on the schedule that fits your timeline, or you have a concern that requires a visit sooner than there is an opening, please send a message to your provider or call the office and leave a message. We can almost always accommodate you within 1-2 weeks. If you have an urgent health concern, please go to an urgent care center.
